Job summary

Amcor LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Safety and Team Lead to supervise manufacturing teams, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in daily operations.

You will mentor crew, conduct training, investigate incidents, and help with performance reviews while ensuring quality and production goals, under the Amcor Way.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Experience leading teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with molding processes in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee activities of all team employees.
  • Ensure safety and good housekeeping in work areas; address hazards immediately.
  • Report any safety infractions to supervisor.
  • Conduct required safety trainings and lead topic discussions.
  • Organize and lead employee-driven teams to address safety, quality or operational issues.
  • Assist with performance appraisals and training planning; support documentation.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Under the direction of the supervisor, oversees the activities of all team employeesEnsures the safety of all team employees by checking their work areas for safety/housekeeping hazards and addressing issues immediately.Reports any infractions to their supervisorPerforms duties in a safe manner; acts as a role model for safetyAssists supervisor in conducting preliminary investigations on safety incidentsReviews and documents daily safety topic discussion for meetingsConducts required training on selected safety topics as identified and assigned by the safety manager or immediate supervisorSupports team goals and objectives. Assists supervisor with dissemination information and updates to employeesOrganizes and leads employee driven teams to address safety, quality, or other operational issues as assigned by the supervisorProvides input for performance appraisals; addresses complaints and helps to resolve problems. Assists with the retention of appropriate documentation.Provides input on employee readiness for promotion, participates in interviews and recommends training as needed.Maintains open communication with all team employees.
