Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Packer/Handler for the Molding Department on a Saturday-Monday 7am-7pm shift. The role requires quick adapters to fast-paced production, strong attention to quality, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include assembling product components, labeling, and routine paperwork. The position offers hourly pay with a shift differential and opportunities for progression based on performance.

  • Able to maintain constant attention to detail and quality.
  • Able to read and write in English; good communication.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds safely and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect containers and lids for quality per Amcor standards.
  • Assemble product parts (gaskets, handles, lids) as required.
  • Flame containers and lids when needed; stack and pack per customer instructions.
  • Prepare labels and identify product for packaging; assist with material handling.
  • Clean work area during downtime and complete required paperwork.

BAND:Shift-Weekend Saturday-Monday 7am-7pmPay-$19.00 with $1.50 Shift DifferentialPaid tier progression based on performanceTHIS POSITION HAS NO DIRECT MANAGEMENT OR SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESPOSITION SUMMARYThe packer/handler assures by visual inspection that all containers and lids are being manufactured and packaged according to Amcor Corporation quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain a safe, clean and organized work areaInspect product to insure quality. Set aside product that is below quality standards. Work closely with Leads and alert Mold Tech and Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions. Watch molds for irregularities or sticking. Timely response to quality issues is key to this position.Complete assembly of product by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machines cyclesFlame containers and lids when required.Stack and pack product per instructions that vary with different customers and ordersPrepare proper product identification and/or packaging labelsAssist with material handling and other tasks as neededWhen the machine experiences an interruption in production, the packer/handler will take this available time to clean up oil, sweep, mop, make boxes or other tasks that may be assigned by the team leader or supervisor.Accurately complete any required paperworkMiscellaneous duties as assignedThe above is intended to describe the general content of the requirements for the performance of this position.
