Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to inspect and repair molding machines in our Monroeville, PA facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic and electrical systems, and assist in other departments as needed.

We expect a self-starter with mechanical aptitude, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to learn with minimal supervision. Safety and Amcor's life-saving rules guide daily work and improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade School, Technical, or Mechanical certificate a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems on molding machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified.
  • Complete work assigned by Manager or Lead person.
  • Communicate activities with Manager and other members of the department.
  • Maintain neat and orderly appearance of plant and molding machines.
  • Seek training to stay current with job requirements.
  • Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.
