Job summary

G&W Electric in Blue Island, IL is seeking a Molder to shape molds and mold sections using automatic molding machines and related equipment. You will prepare molds, select cores, and vent molds during the casting process, while maintaining safe work practices.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, basic math, and reading comprehension; prior foundry experience is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have Math, computer and communication skills.
• Reading and understanding English instructions is required.
• Experience in a foundry or manufacturing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Shape molds or mold sections using automatic molding machines and related equipment.
• Select and assemble flask equipment and patterns; position patterns and ram sand.
• Prepare molds, cores, and vents; assemble mold sections for pouring.
• Report production quantities and machine issues per work order.
