Job summary

MRP Solutions seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to support mold tooling reliability and manufacturing efficiency in Plattsburgh, NY. You will use precision measurement, CAD modeling, and hands-on troubleshooting to deliver production-ready tooling solutions.

Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and suppliers to root-cause issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain thorough engineering records for repeatable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks or CAD software and interpreting drawings.
• Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with CMM and laser scanning is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate precision measurement equipment to inspect tooling and molds.
• Create and update 2D drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks.
• Reverse engineer molds to develop production-ready prints and specs.
• Support departments with CAD documentation and troubleshooting.
• Conduct root cause analyses of mold defects and implement corrective actions.
• Disassemble/reassemble molds and perform in-mold measurements.
• Interface with vendors to source replacement components.
• Maintain organized engineering records and revision history.
• Support continuous improvement for tooling reliability and cost savings.
• Follow safety procedures and 5S requirements.
