Job summary

Lear Corporation seeks a skilled Mold Maker with 8+ years of mold making or mold maintenance experience in Michigan. You will set up, adjust, and repair molds, read blueprints, and ensure tooling meets tight tolerances using precision instruments and shop math.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in mold making or mold maintenance or requires you successfully complete the State approved Mold Maker apprenticeship program and have earned State certified DOL journeyman's card.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, basic understanding of computers and work within stringent tolerances, and knowledge of SPC.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and basic data-entry on computers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate mold presses and perform changes and maintenance.
• Inspect parts and molds for defects and adjust tooling as needed.
• Train mold PM technicians and assist in tooling changes.
• Collaborate with Engineering to correct blueprints and tooling.
