Job summary

MRP Solutions in the United States is seeking a Tooling / Mechanical Engineer to support mold and tooling reliability through precision measurement, CAD modeling, reverse engineering, and hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting. You will use CMM equipment, Keyence laser scanning systems, and SolidWorks to create accurate prints and models of molds and tooling components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; hands‑on tooling/mold experience considered.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks to create/update 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Experience or exposure to CMM, laser scanning, GD&T, and tooling documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate precision measurement equipment to inspect and validate tooling and molds.
• Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models for molds and tooling components in SolidWorks.
• Reverse engineer molds and tooling details to produce production‑ready documents and repair specs.
• Support cross‑functional teams with CAD documentation, tooling information, and troubleshooting.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis to prevent mold defects and tooling failures.
• Disassemble/reassemble molds and perform in‑mold measurements and fit checks.
• Interface with vendors to source components and support timely repair or fabrication.
• Balance cost, timing, quality, and manufacturability in tooling modifications.
