Job summary

Drug Plastics Corporate Office is seeking a Mold Machinist to interpret engineering drawings and 3D files, construct or repair molds, and cut metals to exact specifications using manual and automated tools. Precision is vital to maintain proper die clearances for accurate part production.

The role demands a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience with milling machines, lathes, and grinders, and familiarity with aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and other materials.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant machinist program.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in machining roles.
• Strong mechanical background with ability to read drawings and specs.
• Ability to use milling machines, lathes, grinders and hand tools to tight tolerances.
• Experience with aluminum, Be​ryllium, copper, and stainless steel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC lathes, milling machines and grinders.
• Use power tools including die grinders and rotary tools.
• Use hand tools (files, honing stones) to achieve precise finishes.
• Engage CAD/CAM/CNC workflows and conversational programming.
• Report component damage or maintenance needs to Technical Services Manager.
• Prioritize daily and weekly tasks to meet production goals.
