Job summary

MBI seeks an experienced engineer to design, document, test, and oversee the fabrication of mold reinforcement and assembly jigs for production. You will develop fixtures, work with project teams, and ensure alignment with construction procedures.

You will also prepare BOMs, cost estimates, and process instructions while mentoring the Product Launch Team and ensuring on-time delivery of key milestones in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in CAD is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D drawing and CAD software.
• Ability to direct shop personnel to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in production area.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design and oversee production mold reinforcement and bracing.
• Design, document, and test manufacturing jigs and fixtures for vessel assembly.
• Specify vendor parts for production tooling.
• Develop tolerances and implement process controls for repeatable construction.
• Audit jigs/fixtures and tools for proper maintenance and use.
• Create process instructions for correct jig/fixture use.
• Coordinate with project teams to align jig design with procedures.
• Develop BOMs and cost estimates for jigs, fixtures, and mold bracing.
• Provide direction and training for product launch teams and implement fixtures per schedule.
• Resolve ECN and CAR issues and maintain department milestones.
