Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking a Mold Setter to safely install, adjust, and maintain molds and tooling for Injection Molding machines. You will ensure accurate setup, efficient changeovers, and compliance with safety and quality goals.

The role requires reading tooling specs, performing basic troubleshooting, and collaborating with Process Engineers, Maintenance, and Production Supervisors. Overtime or varied shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in mold setting, machine setup, or mechanical/industrial operations preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and tooling specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and position molds and tooling safely.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and secure molds, dies, and tooling according to production schedules
• Verify mold alignment, clamping, and functionality before releasing equipment to production
• Troubleshoot basic mold, tooling, and machine issues and elevate when needed
• Work closely with Process Engineers, Maintenance, and Production Supervisors
• Complete required documentation for setups, inspections, and changeovers
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of mold storage and setup areas
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities related to molds and tooling
• Support continuous improvement activities to reduce downtime and improve quality
