Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. in Concord, NC is seeking a Mold Setter to safely install, adjust, and maintain molds and tooling on Injection Molding machines. You will verify alignment, perform changeovers, and document all setups.

You may troubleshoot basic mold and machine issues, coordinate with engineers and maintenance, and support preventive maintenance. Overtime and multiple shifts may be required; starting wage is $18/hr with up to $26/hr depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in mold setting or machine setup preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and tooling specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and secure molds, dies, and tooling.
• Verify mold alignment, clamping, and functionality before production release.
• Troubleshoot basic mold, tooling, and machine issues and escalate when needed.
• Work closely with Process Engineers, Maintenance, and Production Supervisors.
• Complete required documentation for setups, inspections, and changeovers.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of mold storage and setup areas.
• Support preventive maintenance activities related to molds and tooling.
