Job summary

ABB is seeking a Mold Tool Setter to safely handle and position molds, interpret tool setup sheets, and install tooling in an injection molding environment. You will operate forklifts and overhead cranes, inspect tooling, and ensure quality at the point of manufacture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years’ experience setting up molds in an injection molding environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mechanics of molding machines and relate to mold installation.
• Read and interpret tool setup sheets, drawings, and SOPs.
• Use hand tools and fixtures; assist in installation/removal of tooling.
• Inspect tooling for defects and repair fixtures as necessary.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes; follow company safety policies.
• Perform quality checks and document data trends; support process improvements.
• Take ownership of product quality and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Follow supervisor directives and complete duties as assigned.
