**Responsibilities:**

1. Construct, alter, and repair a wide variety of assembly equipment, mold components, fixtures, and gages to very close tolerances.
2. Fabricate prototypes from models, drawings, etc.
3. Ensure quality control standards are met via design standards and models.
4. Use gauges, templates, calipers, and inspection equipment as required.
5. Estimate mold fabrication and repair times.
6. Communicate problems and issues to relevant personnel.
7. May give work direction to tool room associates in the absence of the Manager of Tooling.
8. Participate in project teams or cross-functional teams as needed.
9. Perform other related duties as required.

**Qualifications:**

1. Technical degree or certification in tooling with 8+ years of injection mold fabrication experience, or equivalent skills and experience.
2. Ability to design and construct simple injection molds from drawings or models.
3. Ability to recommend design changes to maximize tool uptime.
4. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
5. Maintain necessary tools for tool & die and mold fabrication.
6. Ability to mentor and train junior mold makers.
7. Knowledge of CNC, EDM, CAM (Mastercam), conventional machinery, and safety equipment.
8. Familiar with ANSI Y14.5 standards.
9. Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs. multiple times a week, and perform repetitive reaching, stretching, lifting, and twisting.
