Job description

What You’ll Do

  • Machine new foundry patterns and core boxes using manual equipment (lathe, milling machines, etc.).

  • Set up and operate CNC machining equipment.

  • Repair and modify existing tooling to ensure optimal performance.

  • Support tooling needs for injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion processes.

  • Build fixtures and machining components for multiple departments.

  • Assemble pattern sections using hand tools, fasteners, adhesives, or welding.

  • Conduct pattern changeovers and ensure equipment readiness for production.

  • Finish patterns using grinders, files, and other finishing tools.

  • Design and create templates, patterns, or core boxes from blueprints, samples, or mockups.

  • Mark and label patterns for identification and traceability.

  • Read blueprints and drawings, calculate dimensions, and plan machining steps.

  • Verify all dimensions using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

  • Explore opportunities to integrate 3D scanning, 3D printing, and other additive manufacturing technologies.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of machining experience—specifically with foundry tooling.

  • Strong skills using manual machines (lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders).

  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machines (a plus).

  • Familiarity with 3D scanning and 3D printing (preferred).

  • Experience with injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion tooling (preferred).

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

  • Attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
