Omega Plastics Inc. is seeking a Mold Technician to perform preventive maintenance on plastic injection molding dies and support the tooling department in repairs and improvements. The role improves uptime, tool life, and product quality at our Clinton Township, MI facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Technical training in tooling, machining, or mold maintenance preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with plastic injection molds or tooling in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on plastic injection molding dies per schedule.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, lubricate, and reassemble molds and tooling components.
• Inspect tooling for wear or damage and document findings.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records of work performed and parts replaced.
• Ensure molds are production-ready and meet quality standards before returning to floor.
• Assist with mold repairs, troubleshooting, and modifications as needed.
• Support mold changes and tooling setup and improvement initiatives.
