Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician in Texas to maintain injection molds for production runs. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mold components, and support mold trials with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in a plastics molding environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mold maintenance or repair in plastics molding.
• Strong understanding of mold construction, cooling systems, and ejector systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and toolroom schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on injection molds.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged mold components.
• Disassemble and reassemble molds with precision.
• Maintain detailed records of mold maintenance and parts.
• Collaborate with process techs, mold setters, and engineers.
• Identify recurring mold problems and suggest solutions.
• Use grinders, polishers, hand tools, and micrometers.
• Maintain mold storage areas and proper handling.
• Assist with mold trials and qualification of new/repaired molds.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
