Job summary

EFP, LLC. is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician for first shift (6am-2:30pm) in Decatur, AL. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and installing molds and tooling to ensure safe, efficient production and product quality.

Essential duties include mold changes, setup, troubleshooting, and documentation. Overtime is required when demand exists, and OSHA safety policies must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years mechanical experience in an industrial setting.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mold changes: build, strip, install, maintain tooling.
• Clean molds manually or with high-pressure equipment per safety procedures.
• Set up molds for production; replace seals, guns, and related components.
• Rebuild and maintain mold-related components (guns, seals).
• Troubleshoot mold and process issues to support quality.
• Operate control systems (e.g., PLC) for production setup and adjustments.
• Complete mold change records and maintenance logs; request parts.
• Participate in safety and operational training and 5S/housekeeping.
