Job summary

Weir in Newton, MS is seeking a Molder Close-up Operator on a 4-day, first-shift schedule (Mon-Thu 5:00 AM–3:15 PM). This onsite role focuses on pattern management, mold production, and safe operation of molding equipment.

You'll contribute to quality production, perform routine maintenance, and participate in lean initiatives, with opportunities to grow within a global organization dedicated to safer, more efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good reading, writing, math, and verbal communication.
• Ability to operate and maintain molding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience with sand mixers or overhead cranes is a plus.
• Team player with a positive attitude and good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Pattern Management: Retrieve and inspect patterns for accuracy.
• Mold Production: Operate sand mixer, calibrate continuous mixer, place cores correctly.
• Equipment Operation: Control equipment, lift and move molds with cranes, perform shakeout after pouring.
• Daily Responsibilities: Maintain equipment, keep area clean and safe, support lean initiatives.
• Success Indicators: Produce quality molds on schedule, maintain reliability, show teamwork and attendance.
