Job summary

Weir is seeking a Molder Close-up Operator for the Newton, MS site on an onsite first shift. Work four days a week, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 AM to 3:15 PM, contributing to high‑quality mold production and safety.

You will pattern inspect, operate the sand mixer and related equipment, maintain throughput, and participate in lean initiatives. A high school diploma or GED and solid math/reading skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good reading, writing, mathematical, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate and maintain molding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and good attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Pattern management: retrieve and inspect the correct pattern per daily schedule.
• Mold production: operate sand mixer, calibrate and maintain mixer, place cores correctly.
• Equipment operation: control equipment moving molds and use overhead crane.
• Daily tasks: perform preventative maintenance and keep area clean and safe.
• Lean participation: contribute to process improvements and teamwork.
• Safety: uphold zero-harm culture with reliable attendance and safety records.
