C&J Industries is a full service plastic injection molding contract manufacturer and FDA certified medical device manufacturer. In other words, we do it all and with a high level of quality assurance.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the process, it includes: product design and development, semi and full-automation, in-house tooling, manufacturing your plastic components, assembling, decorating, packaging and distributing them as well.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write basic correspondence and complete forms accurately.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to apply basic math to calculate figures and measurements.

Responsabilités

• Learn nomenclature, functionality, and mechanics of plastic injection molds.
• Disassemble, assemble, clean, and perform repairs to manifolds, hot drops, etc.
• Learn basic operations of grinder, lathe, and mill to perform rudimentary repairs on production molds.
• Develop basic tool making skills to assist in other departments.

The Mold Bench Technician maintains molds by performing the following job duties:

• Work with the Tool Room Supervisor to learn the nomenclature, functionality, and mechanics of plastic injection molds.
• Develop familiarity of molds to disassemble, assemble, clean, and perform repairs to manifolds, hot drops, etc.
• Learn the basic operations of grinder, lathe, and mill to perform rudimentary repairs on production molds.
• Develop basic tool making skills to help in other departments.

Requirements

SKILLS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write basic correspondence and complete forms accurately. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with internal customers.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to apply basic math to calculate figure and amounts such as fractions and percentages and units of weight measure.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; bend; twist; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
