Job summary

C&J Industries in Meadville, PA, is seeking full-time Machine Operators for our plastic injection molding production line. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and opportunities to advance within a growing manufacturing environment.

Set on 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am shifts with pay differentials, you'll operate molding machines, monitor cycles, inspect parts, and follow work orders to meet quality standards. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality assurance is a plus.
• Willingness to pursue CQI certification.
• Experience in quality inspection, preferably in plastics/manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Basic computer skills for data entry/reports.
• Comfort with geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and statistics.
• Ability to analyze problems, collect data, and interpret complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more injection molding machines on the production line.
• Monitor machine cycles and detect cycle errors or defects.
• Report defects to supervisors or technicians for corrective action.
• Follow routers/work orders and quality plans for operation details.
• Perform secondary operations like trimming, packing, grinding as needed.
• Visually inspect parts for quality and maintain production efficiency.
• Rotate parts hourly as required.

We are seeking candidates for our full-time Machine Operator positions in Production. This a great entry level position to start your career with C&J Industries!

We have openings on 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. There is a $0.75 shift differential for 3pm-11pm and $1.00 shift differential for the 11pm-7am shift.

Our Machine Operators Perform The Following Job Duties

• Responsible for production of one or more injection molding machines.
• Monitors general functions of injection molding machines to detect problems with cycle operations and removal of unformed parts, etc.
• Reports defects and malfunctions in process, material, or quality to technical personnel, Supervisor, or Team Leader for correction.
• Reads and understands Router/Work Order, Work Instructions, and Quality Plan for specific operation details, packaging, and quality requirements.
• Performs secondary operations; trims and packs parts; grinds runners; which may require operating mechanical equipment.
• Gages and visually inspects parts for defects; maintains quality production.
• Perform hourly rotation of parts.

Skills And Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality assurance is a plus.
• Must be willing to continue education to obtain CQI.
• Prior experience in quality inspection, preferably within the plastic or manufacturing industry.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions and basic statistics to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
