Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum one year of administrative experience in a medical setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with EMA EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-operative follow-up calls to assess patient recovery and address concerns.
• Coordinate and confirm surgical appointments and maintain a cancellation list for scheduling adjustments.
• Organize and maintain surgical paper charts (Mohs maps) weekly, ensuring prep before surgeries.
• Prepare documentation for surgical phone consultations and coordinate communications.
• Monitor patients on anticoagulants (e.g., Coumadin) for INR safety.
• Oversee EMA EMR system tasks to streamline workflow.
• Serve as liaison for intra-team communications and Mohs scheduling.
• Communicate with plastic surgeons regarding scheduling and follow-ups.
• Maintain the Pathology Log with follow-up actions and treatment plans.
• Keep culture logs up to date per protocols.
• Respond promptly to voicemail messages for the Mohs department.
