Job summary

PhyNet Dermatology LLC seeks a Mohs Medical Assistant/Surgical Technician to support Mohs surgery, conduct pre-surgical assessments, educate patients and families, and help maintain a sterile operative environment.

You will assist during procedures, manage records in EMR, and ensure safety and compliance throughout care delivery. Dermatology experience is preferred and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician; dermatology experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in the use of surgical instruments and maintaining sterile environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and review health survey data to develop care plans.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Prepare the surgical area with instruments, equipment, and anesthesia.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Maintain clean, compliant surgical environment and safe patient handling.
• Administer anesthesia under physician supervision.
• Document all aspects of patient care in EMR.
• Maintain records of follow-up communications and instructions.
• Promote excellence in surgical care and patient outcomes.
