Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification or surgical technician training preferred.
• Dermatology experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by taking histories, recording vital signs, and addressing patient concerns.
• Assist surgeons by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile surgical environment in compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide post-operative instructions and support for optimal recovery.
• Document patient interactions and procedures in electronic health records (EHR).
• Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-up visits.
