QualDerm Partners in Cornelius, NC seeks an experienced Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. You will support Mohs surgeons during procedures, prepare patients, and maintain accurate documentation while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification or surgical technician training preferred.
• Dermatology experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and addressing patient concerns.
• Assist surgeons by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Ensure the surgical environment is maintained in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients to promote optimal recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and procedures in electronic health records (EHR).
• Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-up visits efficiently.
