QualDerm Partners in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The role supports Mohs surgeons during procedures, prepares patients, assists with documentation, and helps maintain a comforting, efficient visit for every patient.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Mohs Surgery is required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant or surgical technician training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and addressing patient concerns.
• Assist surgeons by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Ensure the surgical environment is maintained in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients to promote optimal recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and procedures in electronic health records (EHR).
• Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-up visits efficiently.
