Anne Arundel Dermatology is hiring a Surgical Medical Assistant to join our Mohs Surgery team in the Wilmington, NC area. You will work closely with one of our Mohs surgeons, supporting surgical procedures, patient care, post-operative follow-up, clinical documentation, and clinic flow.

This role involves assisting during procedures, preparing rooms, collecting vitals, and ensuring HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dermatology/Mohs/surgical experience a plus.
• Medical Assistant certification or completion of accredited program preferred.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Comfortable with surgical and procedural patient care.

Aufgaben

• Escort patients to exam/procedure room and assist as needed with walking.
• Collect patient information and vitals; perform screenings per provider guidelines.
• Prepare paperwork and ensure complete documentation in EMR.
• Prepare procedure rooms and surgical trays with supplies.
• Assist physician during procedures (passing instruments, etc.).
• Drape and disinfect sites, assist with local anesthesia and hemostasis.
• Provide wound care instructions and discharge paperwork; schedule follow-ups.
