QualDerm Partners in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to support Mohs surgeons, prepare patients, and assist with documentation in a collaborative clinical setting.

Dermatology experience is required, with Mohs or surgical dermatology experience considered a strong plus. The role includes patient comfort, instrument handling, and maintaining a compliant surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience is required.
• Mohs or surgical dermatology experience is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Proficiency with EHR and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by taking medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist surgeons by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Ensure the surgical environment is maintained in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients to promote recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and procedures in EHR.
• Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-up visits.
