Aerotek is seeking an Mechanical Assembler – Pump Systems in Ocala, FL for contract-to-hire engagement. The role involves reading blueprints, assembling pump subsystems, wiring, testing, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards at a first-shift, on-site manufacturing plant.
Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.
This role is responsible for assembling large, complex mechanical systems used in truck applications, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and quality. The assembler reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and work instructions, uses a wide range of tools and equipment, and performs testing and inspection to ensure all units meet required specifications.

The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing plant, providing a comfortable environment throughout the year. The assembler works at a dedicated station equipped with the necessary tools, parts, and testing equipment to perform all required tasks efficiently. Standard hours are on first shift, typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with current operations running approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and some Saturdays for overtime as needed. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, with clear expectations to keep the assembly area free of clutter and in orderly condition while using cranes and other material handling equipment appropriately.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
