Job summary

LVI Associates in Denver seeks a Structural Department Manager to lead and develop a structural engineering team focused on modular projects. You will oversee project delivery, ensure technical excellence, and drive growth through client engagement and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
PE license required; SE license preferred.
8+ years of structural engineering experience.
Experience leading teams, managing projects, or supervising staff.
Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of structural engineers and designers.
Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, profitability, and on-time delivery.
Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted technical advisor.
Provide technical guidance on a variety of structural projects across multiple market sectors.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Support business development through networking, proposals, and client engagement.
Review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.
Assist with staff recruiting, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
Drive department growth, operational improvements, and strategic planning efforts.
