Job summary

Z Modular in Troy, MI is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of modular steel buildings, guiding engineering standards and project execution on-site. You will collaborate with engineers, design teams, stakeholders, and site personnel to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient structures.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in structural design, a PE license, and strong command of Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, and analysis software (RISA-3D, ETABS, SAP2000).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural-related field with emphasis on structural design.
• PE license required or able to obtain licensure in additional jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and steel connection design.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design of steel modular structures and connections.
• Develop and maintain design spreadsheets and engineering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards through analysis and reviews.
• Prepare and review structural plans, calculations, and technical documentation for projects.
• Collaborate with design teams and site personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
