Job summary

Ritz-Craft is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Design and Engineering Team in delivering schematic designs, drawing sets, and shop fabrication drawings for modular construction projects. You will drive collaboration across Project Management, Procurement, Product Development, Sales, Customers, and Production to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and problem-solving within a team-driven environment, with responsibility for CAD/BIM

Qualifications

• 4 years in modular industry with architectural/commercial building practices.
• 4 years directly managing design/engineering teams.
• Knowledge of modular systems and architectural design.
• Manufacturing process knowledge is required.
• 6+ years hands-on CAD software experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software for cross-functional teams.
• Background in Architecture, Drafting, Engineering Tech or fabrication.
• Strong analytical and project management skills are required.
• Leadership and team-building abilities are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• 3D modeling knowledge related to architectural components is preferred.
• BIM workflow understanding is a plus.
• Hands-on BIM software experience is a plus.
• ERP workflow understanding is a plus.
• Knowledge of Navisworks, BIM360, Lumion, Chief Architect, Tekla, Procore, Solidworks, Sketchup, Rhino, Dynamo and Grasshopper is a plus.

• Implement quick, flexible capabilities to satisfy locations.
• Maintain Master Engineering Calendar for submittals and drawings.
• Manage relationships with third-party services for workload.
• Collaborate with external design/regulatory professionals.
• Develop CAD/BIM shop drawings and standards as needed.
• Utilize Ritz-Craft standards for all projects.
• Maintain compliance and technology adoption.
• Record-keeping for engineering drawings.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration for project success.
• Troubleshoot design concepts and propose client-driven ideas.
