Job summary

Ritz-Craft is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Design and Engineering Team from concept to production. You will drive project schematics, drawings, and shop fabrication plans while coordinating across internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

You will mentor staff, manage KPIs, and implement flexible capabilities to meet client demands, leveraging CAD standards, 3D modeling, and production guidelines for HUD/MOD/Commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 4 years directly managing teams in a design/engineering system.
• Knowledge of construction/drafting is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and other design software for cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Engineering Technology, and Fabrication.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Leadership ability to build effective teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of 3D modeling related to architectural components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team communication and coordination across locations.
• Manage KPIs to meet speed of customer demands.
• Develop high performing staff with integrity and collaboration.
• Implement quick response and flexible capabilities to satisfy demands.
• Maintain Master Engineering Calendar for submittals and drawings.
• Establish and manage relationships with 3rd party services.
• Collaborate with 3rd party design and regulatory professionals.
• Develop CAD/2D-3D shop drawings and standards as needed for the team.
• Apply Ritz-Craft CAD and production standards for HUD/MOD/Commercial projects.
• Maintain compliance and technology adoption for success.
• Keep accurate records and drawings for the Engineering team.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with PM, Procurement, Product Development, Sales, Customers, and Production.
• Troubleshoot design concepts and propose client-focused ideas.
