Job summary

Rise Modular is seeking an Architectural Design Lead to develop modular submittal plans and coordinate design during pre-construction. You will steer architectural plans through SD, DD, CD and into manufacturing, coordinating with the AOR and consultants.

Manage drafting teams and ensure accurate, compliant documents. You will oversee deadlines, RFI processes, and integration of standard assemblies, while ensuring strong collaboration with manufacturing and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years in architectural design, construction documentation, drafting, or design coordination within commercial, multifamily, hospitality, industrialized construction, or related industries.
• 3+ years leading or mentoring architectural designers, BIM modelers, drafters, or design teams.
• Experience managing deliverables through SD, DD, CD and shop drawings.
• Advanced knowledge of construction documents, detailing, and coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility, and life safety requirements.
• Experience coordinating with Architects of Record, engineers, consultants, municipalities, and permitting agencies.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and coordination for modular submittals.
• Manage the drafting team and deliverables across SD, DD, CD, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with AOR, consultants, and manufacturing partners.
• Oversee RFI generation and resolution; ensure accurate, manufacturing-ready docs.
• Ensure on-time design milestones per project schedule.
• Review and approve architectural submittals and standard assemblies.
