Job summary

STEPS Talent is seeking a Container Data Center Pre-Sales Architect for a global data center solutions provider. The role is based in Plano, TX or Fremont, CA and requires leading technical engagements across the sales cycle, designing scalable modular data center solutions.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and customers to translate requirements into reference architectures, deliver proposals, and present to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering/IT field.
• 5–10+ years in data center infra, solution architecture, or pre-sales.
• Experience with modular and containerized data center solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand business, IT, and facility requirements.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions, workshops, and site assessments.
• Advise customers on modular/containerized data center strategies and roadmaps.
• Present solutions to executives, IT and facilities teams, and other stakeholders.
• Design end-to-end modular/containerized data center solutions (power, cooling, network, security).
• Develop reference architectures and BOMs, ensuring alignment with standards.
