Job summary

Fluidstack in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced Release and Configuration Manager to own the end-to-end release process for modular, serialized data-center hardware from engineering to production.

You will coordinate ECOs/ECNs, ensure BOM integrity across as-designed/as-built, and collaborate with design, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing to avoid stale revisions and ensure smooth transitions to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Own release or configuration management for manufactured hardware: modules, vehicles, machinery, or similar serialized products.
• Administer ECOs across live production and know how to disposition a change across units already in build, sitting in inventory, and already shipped.
• Your BOMs reconcile: as-designed, as-built, and maintained stay in sync because you keep them that way.
• You catch immature releases before the floor does: incomplete drawings, missing tolerances, and unspecified requirements don t get past you.
• You've untangled an as-designed vs. as-built mess at a fast-scaling company, and you know what breaks when release discipline is weak.
• You work across design, supply chain, quality, and production to keep everyone informed before it matters.
• Bonus: hands-on with PLM platforms (Arena, Teamcenter, Windchill), ERP and MES integration (NetSuite, SAP), or drawing standards (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Own the release process from engineering to production: drawings, BOMs, and specs complete, approved, and released to manufacturing at the right revision.
• Run configuration and change management: administer ECOs/ECNs, control revision history, and disposition changes across in-flight units, inventory, and supplier orders.
• Keep BOM integrity across systems: PLM to ERP/MES syncing and resolve discrepancies between as-designed, as-built, and as-maintained.
• Gate release readiness: drawing checks, tolerance and spec completeness, long-lead procurement flags, and DFM feedback incorporated before release.
• Drive release communication across design, supply chain, quality, and production: publish schedules and change impacts to prevent stale revisions.
