Job summary

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI with modular data center solutions. The role focuses on engineering structural systems—frames, enclosures, lifting and transport structures—from concept to released fabrication drawings.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with modular or heavy fabrication structures, a PE license (bonus), and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit) to ensure robust, buildable designs across manufacturing and field deployment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering of structures for modular products or heavy fabrication.
• Experience taking steel or sheet metal product from concept through fabrication.
• Experience supporting production launches and first articles.
• Treat transport loads, lifting points, and stacking as design constraints from the start.
• Drawings should be clean to minimize rework; collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Engineer the structural systems of the modular product, frames, enclosures, and lifting/transport structures from concept through drawings.
• Own the structural calcs and load paths for fabrication, shipping, rigging, and stacking.
• Solve integration problems where structure meets MEP, tolerances and clutter.
• Provide factory/field structural support, respond to RFIs same-day, push fixes to next revision.
• Drive prototyping/validation via mockups and first-article reviews in-person.
