Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an engineer to design and validate the structural systems for modular data center products. You will own calcs, load paths, and documentation, ensuring modules survive fabrication, shipping, and stacking while coordinating with MEP and fabrication teams.

You will drive prototyping, first-article reviews, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with a focus on fast iteration, clean drawings, and robust design practices that scale to production.

Qualifications

• Hands-on structural engineering experience for complex products, modular construction or heavy fabrication.
• Brings steel or sheet metal concepts through fabrication, not just analysis.
• Supports production launches and owns first articles.
• Considers transport loads and lifting points as design constraints.
• Drawings should be clean, causing minimal rework and questions from fabricators.
• Collaborates across disciplines with fast iteration while maintaining configuration control.

Responsibilities

• Engineer the structural systems of the modular product from concept through fabrication drawings.
• Own structural calcs and load paths to ensure modules survive fabrication, shipping, and stacking.
• Resolve structural-MEP integration issues and attachment tolerances.
• Provide prototyping and validation through mockups, fit checks, and first-article reviews.
