Job summary

Jobot is recruiting for a Program Manager/Project Manager in Birmingham, AL to own end-to-end DMC project delivery across design, manufacturing, construction, and closeout. You will build and refine tools, manage vendor/subcontractor contracts, and drive cost forecasting and reporting for large, high-visibility programs.

The role combines office coordination with field exposure, enabling hands-on leadership of schedules, cost tracking, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience delivering complex projects in construction or manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage end-to-end delivery.
• Willingness to travel up to 5 days per month.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end DMC project delivery for assigned projects — design, manufacturing, construction, and closeout.
• Develop, maintain, and improve program tools: schedules, logs, forecasts, and stakeholder communication.
• Lead contracts, invoices, change orders, forecasting, and reporting for projects.
• Manage project financials: forecasting, cost control, change management, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functionally across Design, Manufacturing, Construction, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Warranty, and Program Accounting.
• Represent projects in enterprise forums: POSR, QFL, and Executive Review.
• Identify risks and elevate/resolve them proactively.
• Lead structured project launches with schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Mentor APMs; contribute to PM Group growth.
• Capture lessons learned to improve program management systems.
• Support estimating with data-driven approaches; develop cost models and assumptions.
