Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced project manager in Birmingham, AL to lead complex construction initiatives from initiation through delivery. You will oversee safety, quality, budget, and schedule while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver modular and prefabrication projects for healthcare facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience, plus strong Excel skills and a willingness to travel up to 33%.

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing and construction documents and communicate missing information or discrepancies.
• Up to 33% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage an entire project or series of projects, including safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
• Lead project launch and planning in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manage multiple projects with different delivery structures, including self-perform, trade partners, and general contractor partners.
• Manage client relations, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders, and responses to client and customer inquiries.
• Develop assistant project management personnel through mentoring and on-the-job training.
• Ensure projects are closed out promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain daily communication and coordination with design, manufacturing, and construction teams.
• Coordinate with internal departments including shipping, logistics, and self-perform teams.
• Manage project financials and change management.
• Serve as the primary point of coordination with client project management.
• Collaborate with jobsite teams to plan site logistics for permanent installations and module delivery/setting.
• Partner with jobsite teams to efficiently manage site facilities and general conditions costs.
• Document and communicate lessons learned into continuous improvement processes.
• Manage relationships with customers, internal teams, subcontractors, and local authorities.
