Preconstruction and Estimating Opportunity: Modular Construction Estimator
iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a qualified professional to join our Preconstruction and Estimating team. iSuite is a business support services organization formed in 2023. The organization provides business development and pursuit, estimating, safety, accounting, human resources, information technology, marketing, and training services to clients within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (A/E/C) industry.

We are currently looking for a Modular Construction Estimator to join our Preconstruction and Estimating team located at our office in Nashville, TN . Remote or Hybrid working arrangements will also be considered. Our ideal candidate for a Modular Conatruction Estimatoris someone who has 4+years of experience in construction or manufacturi ng estimating.
Primary responsibilities for iSuite’s Modular Construction Estimatorinclude:
Conceptual estimates of proposed equipment skids and piping racks, including structural steel, equipment installation, piping, and electrical & controls scopes based primarily on bid documents.
Updating of conceptual estimates through the design process to include quantitative takeoffs of structural steel, piping, equipment, and subcontractors.
Refinement of IMI’s modular construction estimating process to take advantage of efficiency gains through repeated builds of the same modules.
Reviewing and comprehending technical and administrative documents such as Change Orders, Requests (COs) for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
Determining lists of material takeoffs to define quantities of work materials for structural steel, mechanical piping, equipment, electrical/controls scopes of work
Determining work crews and production rates for performance of required tasks.
Breaking down the scope of work into definable tasks.
Assisting in the development of bids, scope documents, and proposals.
Developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. These relationships should have a level of trust and respect from subcontractors and vendors to ensure best numbers on bid day---therefore maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers is crucial.
Primary qualifications for iSuite’s Modular Construction Estimator include:
4+ years of proven working experience in Construction or Manufacturing Estimating.
Prior knowledge of QuoteSoft or Autodesk Fabrication ESTmep is preferred
Strong knowledge of computerized takeoff programs as well as being capable of manual entry or on-screen takeoff methods.
Strong knowledge of structural steel, piping, mechanical equipment and electrical/controls systems
Knowledge of the UL Solutions certification process
The ability to develop thorough and accurate estimates and scopes of work/proposal documents.
The ability to “fill in the gaps” in the bidding documents to ensure a complete estimate is produced.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
The ability to use and interact with word processors at a moderate level (cut & paste, templates, document creation).
The ability to interact with spreadsheets such as Excel at a moderate level (input, data manipulation, basic programming).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of construction accounting and experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
Being a self-motivated team member with excellent time management skills.
The ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multitask with changing priorities.
