Modular BIM Designer – Revit Specialist & Shop Drawings

Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a BIM Designer for our Pelzer, SC manufacturing plant. You will draft and develop 3D models of modular buildings, and model structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing elements in Revit for ongoing projects.

You will generate shop drawings from 3D models and work with a team of BIM Designers to annotate pages and revise drawings per client comments and operations requests, leveraging your CAD experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Engineering or Architecture/Design Master’s preferred.
• 5 years of total CAD experience required.
• 3 years of Autodesk Revit experience.
• 2 years of Architectural/MEP construction drawings experience required; understanding of blueprints/technical cut sheets.
• Experience with Fabrication or Engineered Shop Drawings required.
• Exceptional learning capacity.

Responsibilities

• Draft and develop 3D models of modular buildings for ongoing projects.
• Model structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing elements in Revit (not required to know all from the start).
• Generate shop drawings from the created 3D models of our buildings; work with BIM Designers to dimension and annotate shop drawing pages.
• Revise shop drawings according to client comments and requests from Operations.
