Job summary

Schindler is seeking a Project Manager - Modernization in Seattle to lead installation and modernization efforts. You will collaborate with sales reps, customers, engineers, and field staff to meet specifications, manage budgets, and ensure profitable project outcomes.

The role emphasizes client relationships, timely project booking, and cross-functional teamwork to support Schindler's market leadership and safe, high-quality installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent) preferred.
• 3+ years' leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Experience building and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Follow and manage installation/modernization projects for profitability and efficiency.
• Book projects within one week of award and manage completion dates.
• Provide approved submittals to Engineering and vendors; coordinate material delivery.
• Interface with Field Superintendent to track progress and timelines.
• Prepare and follow up on change orders; ensure customer sign-off before work.
• Ensure timely invoicing and 90% payment before turnover of equipment.
• Participate in professional development to learn products and procedures.
