Job summary

Raytheon is hiring a Systems Engineer II – Modeling, Simulation & Analysis in Aurora, CO. The role focuses on high-fidelity models and simulations for missile design and flight test activities.

You will collaborate across GNC, software, and systems teams to deliver validated simulation environments and support lifecycle activities. Requirements include a STEM degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, C/C++ programming, and experience with Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object-oriented programming in C and/or C++.
• Experience using Python and/or MATLAB to analyze engineering data.
• Experience modeling or simulating complex technical systems.
• Active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity models and simulations to support missile design, performance assessment, and flight test activities.
• Design, develop, and implement modeling and simulation solutions used to evaluate system and subsystem performance through trade studies and engineering analyses.
• Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering teams to execute simulation activities in support of program objectives and schedules.
• Analyze simulation results and provide technical recommendations that influence system architecture, performance, and design decisions.
• Support the product lifecycle from concept development through system integration, verification, flight test, and fielded operations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary technical reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve system performance.
• Support the development and validation of simulation tools that enable engineering analyses and system verification activities.
