Job summary

Katalyst Space Technologies in Colorado is seeking a Software Engineer II, Modeling and Simulation to develop models and simulations for complex aerospace missions and verify them against hardware. You will leverage C++ and Python, own software areas, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI&T, GSW, MOPS and FSW.

The role requires strong modeling and simulation skills, hands-on coding, and the ability to work extended hours as needed in a DoD/ITAR context.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in modeling and simulation for complex aerospace missions.
• BS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or closely related STEM field.
• Proven ownership of at least one software product area.
• Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders (AI&T, GSW, MOPS, FSW, etc).
• Knowledge of distributed compute frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Create models and sims for cross-domain uses.
• Build training environment for operations.
• Develop AI&T testing tool suite to aid SITL testing.
• Maintain and create coding environment.
• Verify models and sims against hardware.
