Modeling & Simulation Engineer – Melbourne, FL

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is recruiting a Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join the Product Support group.

Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance may be available. Travel: 10% of the time.

Clearance requirements: Active US Government Secret clearance or higher (background investigation within the past 6 years or continuous evaluation). Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support cost analysis (development and operations & support).
• Support readiness, reliability & maintainability (R&M) improvement.
• Spare forecasting and fleet readiness modeling.
• Obsolescence forecasting.
• Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and spares modeling.
• Collaborate with functional departments such as Air Vehicle, Avionics, Systems Engineering, R&M, Diminishing Material Shortages (DMS) team, support hardware, and supplier design engineers to collect data and provide solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of engineering experience, OR Master’s degree in STEM and 0 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in basis statistical analyses and familiarity with other product support disciplines.
• Strong communication and writing skills; ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sustainment modeling, LORA, and O&S cost estimating.
• Systems performance monitoring and analysis.
• Experience with Python programming language.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active, in-scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance.

Compensation & Benefits

Primary salary range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00. Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long-term incentives for VP or Director positions. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off.
