Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 1 or 2 for on-site work at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidates must have a DoD Secret clearance to start and be willing to travel up to 10%.

The role focuses on threat modeling, simulation systems, and data analysis within TSE for BMDS. Strong Python/MATLAB skills and experience with Linux and atmospheric codes are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Aerospace/Mechanical/Physics/Optical Sciences or related).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Active DoD Secret clearance to start.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering and Validation: handle large multi-dimensional datasets and validate against test data.
• Analytical Rigor: thoroughness, verification and validation of complex datasets.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: root-cause analysis and debugging of legacy tools and scripts.
• Team Collaboration: strong verbal and written communication; work within a schedule.
