Valcor Engineering Corporation in Springfield, NJ is seeking a skilled Machinist in the Model Shop to set up and operate a variety of machine tools from blueprints and verbal instructions. You will determine tooling and sequences to produce parts to spec and perform measurements with precision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship or 4–5 years machinist experience.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make complicated set-ups and operate machine tools; determine sequences and tooling.
• Skillfully use all machinist tools and measuring instruments.
• Familiar with machining of most materials.
• Perform advanced shop math, including trigonometry.
• Move parts to and from the work area.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Meet safety requirements and follow company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
