Job summary

Elgen Staffing's client, a leading manufacturer of precision metal and steel components, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Springfield to join their team. You will set up and perform diverse machining, determine tooling and sequences, and use all hand tools and inspection equipment to meet exact specifications.

The role requires set-ups, operation of CNC centers and grinders, strong shop math, and GD&T knowledge. Team-oriented, safety-conscious individuals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate standard and specialized equipment to produce prototype and/or production parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining center and perform complex set-ups.
• Use machinist hand tools and measurement instruments.
• Machine a range of materials with advanced shop math.
• May assign work to lower level machinists.
• Move parts to and from the work area and maintain workspace cleanliness.
• Follow safety requirements and company policies.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
