Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Interior Designer to independently design and execute model home interiors for Perry Homes projects in the Houston area. You will ensure brand standards, align with target buyers, and manage budgets across multiple floor plans and communities.

You will collaborate with design, production, and operations teams, create compelling presentations, and coordinate inventory and installations to bring interiors to life with cohesive concepts and finishes.

Qualifications

• College degree in Interior Design or another design-related field required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Experience with space planning software (AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Bluebeam or similar).
• Experience in Bluebeam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and execute small to mid-size model home interiors using established design concepts for new floor plans, communities, and product offerings.
• Maintain Perry Homes brand standards, target buyer alignment, and budget requirements.
• Collaborate throughout design phases including drawings, presentations, and project coordination.
• Create and deliver professional presentations communicating design concepts and interior selections to internal teams.
• Select, purchase, and coordinate inventory for budgeted model home designs with warehouse and operations teams.
• Develop installation plans and oversee model home installation execution.
• Provide creative direction for merchandising, artwork, accessories, and styling.
• Research current design trends, materials, furnishings, and finishes.
• Build working knowledge of floor plans, structural options, interior selections, and design standards.
